activities in Poland. He discusses the opportunities offered by the harmonization of rules in the EU, as well as the operational challenges facing entities that develop innovations based on cryptocurrencies and tokens.

Wojciech Kapica, in his article Impact of the New AML Regulations on the Polish FinTech Market (p. 43), comments on the new AML regulatory package published by the European Union in June 2024. His analysis indicates how the changes will affect fintechs’ obligations in the area of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, as well as the possibility of providing services in multiple jurisdictions without having to meet local requirements.
