On June 6, 2024, the 11th Banking Law Congress took place in Warsaw, attracting experts from across the industry. This year’s edition was dedicated to issues of EU and consumer law in the context of banking, with its program divided into two thematic blocks.

The first block focused on the boundaries of consumer protection, while the second addressed the Europeanization of law and the role of CJEU jurisprudence in banking regulation. The highlight of the second part of the event was a presentation by Wojciech Kapica, who delivered a paper titled “Risk-Based Approach as a Type of Legal Interpretation.”

The Congress was organized by the Polish Bank Association in cooperation with the Center for Banking Processes and Information. This exceptional event became a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences, as well as an inspiration for further efforts to improve banking law.
